The primary in NC is on Tuesday, May 8. We may not be relevant at that point, but it is very important that NC residents vote in the primary!Okay, so Rachel Maddow doesn’t live in North Carolina, but it’s a place near and dear to the HGRM creators’ hearts (Joy used to live there & Summer does now). If you’re from NC, living there now, or know people that do, let them know about Amendment One, which would not only ban same-sex marriages but also prohibit future civil union legislation and strip domestic partner benefits already in place. NC is currently the only state in the Southeast without a constitutional amendment prohibiting same-sex marriage - you can help keep it that way!
